Mostly sunny and pleasant, rain chances increase Saturday in south-central Pennsylvania
Highs will remain below average for the next 10 days
IT’S COVERAGE YOU CAN COUNT ON. NOW THE WGAL NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST WITH METEOROLOGIST BRIAN ARGENTI. AND WE HAVE PLEASANT WEATHER THAT HAS BEEN INFLUENCING OUR WEATHER CONDITIONS HERE ACROSS THE VALLEY. WE’LL CONTINUE TO HAVE THOSE PLEASANT WEATHER CONDITIONS CONTINUE INTO THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. COMING UP. RAIN CHANCES DO RETURN AS WE GO INTO SATURDAY AND WE’LL HAVE MORE 70S NEXT WEEK AS WELL, WITH ANOTHER REALLY NICE STRETCH OF WEATHER TO BEGIN THE WORKWEEK. FOR TODAY THOUGH, 76 TO 80 DEGREES. ABUNDANT SUNSHINE, REFRESHING. NOT TOO BAD OF A DAY TODAY. AS WE GO INTO TONIGHT, CLEAR SKIES AND COOL 52 TO 56 DEGREES AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW 78 TO 82 DEGREES FOR OUR HIGHS WITH PLENTIFUL SUNSHINE. AND IT WILL BE VERY PLEASANT AS WE GO INTO THE DAY TOMORROW. LOOKING LIVE OVER HARRISBURG NOW, BLUE SKIES AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE. ACROSS THE CAPITAL AND REALLY ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION. YOU CAN SEE 70S ACROSS THE BOARD HERE, 73 IN LANCASTER, 73 IN LEBANON, 73. IF YOU’RE TUNING IN FROM CARLISLE TO VERY NICE DAY OUT THERE WITH THOSE DEW POINTS VERY LOW. WE HAVE 49 IN LANCASTER, 49 IN HARRISBURG. IT’S IT’S A VERY COMFORTABLE DAY. IT’S NOT STICKY LIKE WE DEALT WITH IN IN PAST WEEKS. POLLEN AND MOLD AND AIR QUALITY LEVELS ARE MODERATE. AND WITH THE UV INDEX IS IT’S HIGH BECAUSE WE DON’T HAVE ANY CLOUD COVER. THERE’S NOT THERE’S NO CLOUDS BLOCKING THE SUN. SO WE DO HAVE A UV INDEX THAT’S HIGH AND WILL BE A 25 MINUTE BURN TIME FOR ALL OF US ACROSS THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. NOTHING REALLY INDICATING MUCH ON THE STORM TEAM. LIVE RADAR NETWORK WILL WIDEN OUT THE PICTURE. THE ENTIRE COMMONWEALTH IS DEALING WITH VERY NICE CONDITIONS, AND THE REASON WHY WE’RE DEALING WITH THESE NICE CONDITIONS IS BECAUSE OF THIS BIG HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT SETTLED IN OVER THE VALLEY. NOW THAT HIGH PRESSURE IS GOING TO MOVE OFF THE COAST A LITTLE BIT AND IT’S GOING TO FUNNEL IN A LITTLE BIT OF MOISTURE, IT’S GOING TO INCREASE THE HUMIDITY JUST A LITTLE BIT. BUT AS THIS HIGH PRESSURE MOVES OFF THE COAST AND MOVES UP TO THE NORTHEAST, THAT’S WHEN WE’LL START TO SEE AN INCREASE IN THE CLOUD COVER JUST A LITTLE BIT. WE’LL ALSO SEE A CHANCE OF AN ISOLATED SHOWER AS WE GO INTO FRIDAY. AND THEN THE THE BIGGER STORY FOR THIS WEEKEND, THOUGH IS THIS COLD FRONT THAT’S ACTUALLY PUSHING IN FROM THE FROM THE WEST. YOU CAN SEE THE COLD FRONT THAT’S DRAPED ACROSS NORTH NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA IN THE OHIO VALLEY. THIS IS GOING TO BE OUR NEXT BIG RAINMAKER, SO WE AREN’T EXPECTING ANY IMPACT. IMPACTFUL WEATHER THOUGH I’M NOT EXPECTING ANY SEVERE WEATHER. IT WILL BE JUST CONSISTENT RAINFALL ACROSS THE VALLEY. SO WE’LL HAVE NONE. WE’LL HAVE NO RAIN CHANCES FOR WEDNESDAY, NO RAIN CHANCES FOR THURSDAY. ISOLATED SHOWER AGAIN FOR FRIDAY AND SCATTERED SHOWERS FOR SATURDAY. TAKING A LOOK AT YOUR TEN DAYS, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY 78 TODAY 84 THURSDAY FRIDAY. THAT’S WHEN WE’LL START TO FEEL A LITTLE BIT STICKY. WE’LL SEE AN INCREASE IN THE CLOUD COVER. SHOWERS RETURN ON SATURDAY, BUT A GREAT STRETCH OF WEATHER TO START OUR WORKWEEK NEXT WEEK AS WELL. THE SCHOOL WEEK. WE HAVE 70S ACROSS THE BOARD AND
